We are in search of a Collections Manager to oversee our commercial collections operations, enhance our collections infrastructure, and ensure efficient and effective recovery of outstanding debts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial collections, familiarity with UCC filings, and knowledge of the New York court system. You will ensure timely and efficient collection of outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with clients.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all collections activities to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Manage a team of collections specialists, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure team success.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients to address outstanding balances, resolve disputes, and negotiate payment arrangements.
- Oversee the preparation and management of case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize data analytics to track payment behaviors, identify high-risk accounts, and tailor collection strategies.
- Ensure timely and accurate receipt and recording of payments, working with processors to manage payment plans and track payment statuses.
- Ensure all collections activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, including data privacy and debt collection laws.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, regularly reviewing and optimizing collections processes to support business scaling.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial collections, with a focus on building and scaling collections infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of UCC filings and secured transaction laws.
- Familiarity with the New York court system and state-specific debt collection laws.
- Experience working with payment processors to secure and collect future credit card or cash receipts.
- Proficient in financial analysis and monitoring tools.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
