Our client – a growing pharmaceutical company with multiple plants in the US, needs a Contract Plant Project Manager at their Ohio plant starting up to manufacture pharmaceutical products. Excellent hourly Pay rate + Expenses for living/Travel. Hybrid role with partial Work from Home .

Job Title : Contract - Plant Project Manager

Location: Albany, Ohio.

Overnight Travel: 10%

Duration: Initially 6 months with a chance to extend assignment based on performance and client needs

Compensation: W2 Pay Rate of $65 - $75 per hr. (Paid weekly) + Expenses for travel/Living

Company Info:  

This is a growing, well established company with around 1,000 people in NJ + multiple locations including 6 manufacturing sites all over the US. They have doubled their employee size in the last 5 years and acquired a new plant site in Ohio, which is starting up and expected to fully grow to around 100 people.

Group Info:  

The new plant operation will be compounding veterinarian medications, per FDA 503B regulations. The plant has started manufacturing partially and is ramping up to higher capacity this year.

Note 1: This role requires a person proficient with Project Management software like MS Project or Smartsheet. This person will get technical input from the Senior Manufacturing Engineer and will update the project time lines continuously and closely monitor them, alerting others regarding any critical time delays or slippages and rework the software to bring the project back on schedule based on changes suggested by the Work Stream leaders

Note 2: This role will require the candidate to be on site initially to understand plant set up, projects, equipment etc. Then this person can Work from Home in a hybrid role and be at plant site alternate weeks with all expenses paid for living and travel.

SUMMARY:

 Support the projects mentioned below by working on the detailed scheduling software:

1. New production equipment already at site to be commissioned by technical team
2. New production equipment about to be transferred from other sites
3. Support trial batch runs, engineering batch and stability batch runs.
4. Be part of the cross functional team
5. Manage project time lines, monitor for risk of delays and flag these to management.  

Candidate Must Have:

• BS
• 5+ years of Project Management experience in a Manufacturing plant .
• Proficiency with Project Management Software such as MS Project or Smartsheet
• Excellent people, team working and computer skills .
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, new plant environment.

Candidate Nice to Have:

• BS in Engineering .

• Some experience with FDA, OSHA, EPA, regulations and compliance.
• Knowledge of Liquid or solid powder dosage compounding.
• Startup or Small company experience working in a dynamic and hands-on role.
• Training or certification in Project Management Software - MS Project or Smartsheet
