As a Data Scientist II here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for providing project guidance on data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling. You will oversee and prioritize data science projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. Your role will involve providing technical leadership and support to the data science team and collaborating cross-functionally to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business value.

You will report directly to our Sr. IT Director, and you'll work out of our either Charlotte, NC OR Atlanta, GA location on a hybrid work schedule.

• Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on the business by deriving actionable insights from data, optimizing processes, reducing costs, and identifying growth opportunities. Your work will position Honeywell at the forefront of data-driven innovation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics models and algorithms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and formulate data-driven solutions
• Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, actionable insights to support business decision-making
• Drive innovation within the team, exploring new methodologies and technologies to enhance analytical capabilities

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor's degree or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related discipline
• 2+ years of experience within data analysis, statistical modeling, or another related field
• 2+ years' experience with developing and deploying neural network models (deep learning, reinforcement learning, etc.) using PyTorch or TensorFlow
• 1+ years' experience with fine-tuning pre-trained generative AI models (Stable Diffusion, Flux, or LLMs, etc.)
• Highly proficient in general programming languages such as Python and R, and its ecosystem
• Hands-on experience with typical development toolchain such as IDE (VS Code, IntelliJ, etc.), version control system (Git), and Cloud development environment (AWS, etc.)
• Strong project management and organizational abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
