Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of goods to our customers while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong driving skills, the ability to handle heavy lifting, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle for route driving.
- Load and unload products at various delivery locations, ensuring items are handled with care.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with clients during deliveries.
- Utilize a pallet jack for moving heavy items as needed.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Report any issues or discrepancies with deliveries promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on professionalism.
- Experience with route driving and knowledge of local areas is beneficial.
- Capability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with moving goods.
- Familiarity with using a pallet jack for loading and unloading tasks.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required.
