Job Description

Temple Shalom Nursery School (TSNS) is an early childhood school for children ages 18 months to five years old. Our learning experience is informed by fundamental Jewish values such as community, kindness, respect, the pursuit of knowledge, and justice. Our play based and nature-rich approach to teaching and learning includes spending ample time outdoors, enjoying all weather conditions, gardening, and caring for plants and animals in our outdoor classrooms.

We seek educators who are brave enough to think outside the box, enthusiastic, and curious about play and child development. We value teamwork, collaboration, research, and the ability to find joy in work with children. While knowledge of Jewish life and education is a significant advantage, it is not required.

Our calendar includes paid breaks in December, February, and April, along with paid Jewish holidays. We are open for eight weeks in summer with vacation time in August. We offer medical insurance, support for professional development, and competitive pay. Salary range $20.00-28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
