Are you ready to elevate your career in the metal fabrication industry? We are looking for an Estimator to join a dynamic team due to an increase in business. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in metal fabrication, whether as an Estimator, an Engineering Technician, or a machine operator eager to transition into estimating

Responsibilities:

• Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and bid packages to develop precise manufacturing estimates.
• Draft job requirements, prepare job routers, and create bills of material for product fabrication.
• Engage directly with customers to collect essential information for job quoting.
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to finalize estimates.
• Maintain and update pricing databases for accurate cost assessments.
• Work with the production team to ensure estimates align with capabilities and timelines.
• Support project planning and scheduling based on secured estimates.
• Foster strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in estimating within the sheet metal or metal fabrication industry, or experience as a machine operator or Engineering Technician with metal fabrication expertise.
• Comprehensive understanding of fabrication processes such as laser cutting, welding, forming, punching, and finishing.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading.
• Computer literacy, with preference for experience in ERP systems.
• Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines.
• Prior experience in a job shop environment is preferred.
