About The Role

This position will assist an Instructor in answering questions and providing support during lecturing and labs. The teacher's assistant will also help grade student assignments and take attendance.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Take required attendance at the start and return from breaks within Populi
• Proctor tests and quizzes as required by the instructor syllabus
• Take attendance
• Review and grade assignments, tests, quizzes, and evaluations as needed using institution rubrics if necessary
• Maintain grading for the rubric, short answer, essay, and discussion assignments and projects inside of Canvas
• Check on students who are in open labs
• Assists with any issues and questions from students during instructional and lab time
• Assists with online moderation

Preferred Experience

• High School Diploma
• 1+ years of field-related experience with relevant accredited certification or degree preferred
• Hands-on experience with several types of digital cameras
• Firm grasp of lighting techniques
• Knowledge of production audio equipment
• Flexible schedule

Job Requirement

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-year experience OR a diploma in a related field

Salary Range: $17 - $18 an hour!

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to physically access and navigate each department at our facility.
