• 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST; Mon–Fri, occasional Saturdays as needed
ROLE IMPACT
The Medical Benefit and Insurance Verification Specialist supports a key seasonal healthcare program by ensuring complete and accurate insurance data collection. This phone-based role directly contributes to timely patient support by contacting payers or patients to secure missing benefit information. Success in this role ensures efficient case closure and high service standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct inbound and outbound calls to obtain missing insurance benefit details
• Accurately complete benefit verifications using internal tools and payer resources
• Maintain ongoing contact with assigned payers and escalate delays or trends
• Deliver prompt and professional service to internal stakeholders
• Analyze insurance data and make informed judgments based on program SOPs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years in a customer service role with attention to detail and basic computer proficiency
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow SOPs independently
• Must reside in TX, AZ, NC, or IN
CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• Internal CRM or benefit verification platforms
• Phone systems for inbound/outbound payer communication
• Typing and basic clerical assessments (pre-start)
PREFERRED SKILLS
• General knowledge of medical or pharmacy insurance
• Experience in remote work environments
• Ability to adapt to seasonal workflows and schedules
