Job Description

Position Overview:

AppleOne is partnering with a fast growing construction company. As a Junior Estimator, you will assist in the preparation of accurate and timely cost estimates for supply and installation projects. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the high-end construction industry, particularly with specialty materials like marble, granite, limestone, quartzite, and other stone products. You’ll collaborate with senior estimators, project managers, and the sales team to develop bids, analyze plans, and support project development from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

· Review architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents to understand scope and project requirements

· Assist in quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for stone supply, fabrication, and installation

· Prepare RFQs and communicate with vendors for pricing on materials and subcontracted services

· Organize and maintain estimating documentation, bid files, and project history records

· Attend job walks or site visits as needed to support scope evaluation

· Support the preparation of proposals and bid packages for clients

· Collaborate with internal departments including sales, procurement, and project management to ensure alignment

· Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and project delivery methods

Qualifications:

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)

· Strong attention to detail and basic knowledge of reading construction drawings

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, AutoCAD – preferred but not required)

· Excellent organizational and time-management skills

· Strong written and verbal communication abilities

· Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have (but not required):

· Internship or previous experience in estimating, construction, or stone/tile industry

· Knowledge of natural stone types, applications, or fabrication processes

· Experience with CRM or ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, Buildertrend, Procore)
