Job Highlights for Lateral Officers:

Starting Salary: $86,134 - $114,668 (with Advanced DPSST certification)
Uniforms and Gear: Provided
Work Schedule: 11.25-hour shifts, four days on and four days off
Wellness Programs: On-duty workouts, onsite mental health clinician, functional fitness, and more
Educational Reimbursements: Available

Community Enhancement Program: Additional 2% to gross wages
Language Fluency Pay: $1.50 per hour for fluency in languages other than English, with Chief's approval

Lateral Opportunities:
For experienced lateral candidates with completed Field Training, we offer competitive wages and benefits based on prior experience:

Pay Step 2: $7,177 (6-18 months of solo officer experience)
Pay Step 3: $7,536 (18-30 months of solo officer experience)
Pay Step 4: $7,913 (30-42 months of solo officer experience)
Pay Step 5: $8,309 (42+ months of solo officer experience)
Lateral Police Officers may receive an additional 10% or 15% premium pay, depending on DPSST qualifications. Out-of-state applicants can also receive assistance with reciprocity for certifications.
