Job Description

Description The Public Mental Health Partnership (PMHP) is seeking to hire a full time Lead Community Mental Health Trainer (LCMHT) to develop, conduct, and assist in the evaluation of trainings for Los Angeles County and other California Departments of Mental Health. Trainings are on evidence-based treatment approaches for adults with severe mental illness. The LCMHT will also be responsible for providing technical assistance to community providers working on these teams. Trainings may address topics such as, trauma, improving access to mental health services, and enhancing engagement with complex clients experiencing homelessness. Trainings may also include modules on quality monitoring, quality improvement, and program evaluation including using qualitative and quantitative data. Duties performed by the Lead CMHT will include: + Determine training, technical assistance, and program model needs among providers working in publicly funded intensive field-based mental health, homeless, and co-occurring service teams + Oversee the planning, delivery, and quality improvement of provider trainings + Compile relevant trainings used in other treatment contexts, evaluating their relevance to Los Angeles County and other California Departments of Mental Health, and considering implementation with partners + Lead training projects, including task supervision and mentorship to other training staff + Consult with teams and create program improvement goals and action steps aimed at addressing administrative or clinical challenges presented by providers + Develop and implement quality assurance and improvement activities for all facets of program delivery + Plan and supervise the development of a portfolio of intervention materials including manuals, online and skill-building group curricula for providers such as training videos, identification of relevant peer-reviewed research articles, popular media, and other training materials Pay Range: The salary to be offered will be determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. The full salary range for this position is $83,800.00 - $179,400.00 annually. The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is about $83,800.00 - $96,000.00 annually.Qualifications Required: + Bachelor's degree in a mental health related field or related experience. + Demonstrated thorough knowledge of mental/behavioral health programs including Full Service Partnership (FSP), HOME (Homeless Outreach and Mobile Engagement), or similar programs (e.g., Assertive Community Treatment, Housing First) + Knowledge of the mental health issues impacting individuals experiencing severe mental illness, homelessness, and/or co-occurring disorders + Proficiency with MS Office software, including Word and Excel + Experience leading trainings for clinicians and/or administrators + Experience providing clinical support for staff at remote sites who are dealing with challenging cases and caseloads + Experience communicating complex information to people with varying levels of education/training and different learning styles (both in-person and online) + Demonstrated excellence in training curriculum development + Experience in developing educational materials for dissemination through an internet-based platform + Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously + Willingness and ability to travel to service delivery sites throughout Los Angeles County and/or California when necessary.
