Job Title: Platform Engineer (AWS)

Location: costa mesa, CA/ Allen, Tx (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months

About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced Platform Engineer with deep expertise in AWS to help design, build, and scale our infrastructure and developer platforms. You'll work closely with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to automate and streamline operations, improve developer productivity, and ensure our platforms are reliable, secure, and performant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable platform infrastructure on AWS.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies to support agile development practices.
• Optimize cloud cost, performance, and resource utilization across the platform.
• Build and maintain internal tools and systems to improve developer workflows and system observability.
• Collaborate with DevOps, SREs, and software engineers to deliver highly available and resilient systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and platform issues, ensuring quick resolution and root cause analysis.
• Enforce and support security best practices across infrastructure and applications.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation .
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD).
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Go).

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect).
• Experience in building and scaling developer platforms or internal developer portals.
• Knowledge of service mesh, API gateways, or modern platform tools (e.g., Istio, Linkerd, HashiCorp Vault).
• Understanding of security and compliance in cloud environments (e.g., IAM, policies, encryption).
