Position Details:
Salary Information: $74,257 - $119,238, with top pay reached after 6 years.

Department Overview:
The Lisle Police Department consists of 48 employees, including 38 sworn officers, led by a Chief, two Deputy Chiefs, and five Sergeants. The department operates out of a state-of-the-art facility that features a firing range, modern evidence processing lab, and training and fitness rooms. Officers work 12-hour shifts and receive extensive ongoing training, with opportunities to exercise while on duty and participate in various job enrichment programs.
The department offers specialty positions such as Detective, Firearms Instructor, Field Training Officer, Evidence Technician, Emergency Management Specialist, SWAT Operator/Negotiator, Mobile Field Force Operator, Bike Patrol, Accident Reconstructionist, and School Resource Officer.

Job Requirements:
Age: Must be 21 years old at the time of application and under the age of 35 (as of the posting of the initial eligibility list, unless otherwise provided by 65ILCS 5/10-2.1-6). Exemptions are available for military or prior police experience.
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license (does not need to be from Illinois).
Language Skills: Must be able to read and speak English.
Vision: Binocular vision correctable to 20/20
Residency Requirement: Must reside within 50 miles of Lisle within the state of Illinois by the first date of employment. No felony convictions.
