Regional Director of Operations – East Region

Location: Based in Dover, NJ or Freehold, NJ (On-site with regular travel to Sterling, VA and other East Coast locations)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Salary: $160,000–$170,000 per year (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Regional Director of Operations to lead the performance, growth, and cultural alignment of our East Coast operations , including Dover, NJ; Freehold, NJ; and Sterling, VA , with the potential to expand oversight to future acquisitions in the region.

This leadership role will oversee multiple departments—including Field Operations, Customer Service, and Administration —to ensure the successful execution of services, team development, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing P&Ls , scaling service-based operations , and fostering high-performing, engaged teams .

Key Responsibilities

Financial Oversight

• Own financial performance of the East Region including revenue, cost control, and profitability
• Analyze KPIs and data to improve results, ensure budget adherence, and support scalable growth
• Guide and train Market Leaders on reading and interpreting financial reports

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead Field Ops, Customer Service, and Admin teams across multiple branches
• Recruit, train, evaluate, and support Site Leaders and local staff
• Promote a high-performing, values-driven culture focused on execution and employee success
• Conduct performance reviews and coach local leadership teams

Operational Execution

• Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of field services including irrigation, lighting, fertilization, and maintenance
• Implement SOPs to promote standardization and operational consistency
• Resolve issues efficiently and guide teams through change management and process improvement initiatives

Vision & Strategy

• Align regional operations with company goals and strategic growth initiatives
• Set clear goals and KPIs for all direct reports and departments
• Provide insights and recommendations for territory development and acquisition support

Safety & Compliance

• Champion safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and internal policies
• Lead safety meetings, tailgate talks, and maintain proactive risk management practices

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of leadership experience in service-based operations , ideally overseeing multiple business units
• Proven success in managing P&Ls , improving efficiency, and scaling operations
• Strong experience in route-based services or field service sectors
• Excellent communication, financial acumen, and team-building skills

Preferred

• Master's degree or MBA in Business or related field
• Working knowledge of irrigation and outdoor services industries

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Frequent sitting, walking, and use of computer/phone systems
• Occasional field visits involving climbing, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 25 lbs
• Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time between regional locations
• Noise level is typically low to moderate
