Job Description

Atlas Advisors, LLC (ATLAS), a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking experienced Senior Advisors (Organizational Level) to support the U.S. Department of State’s Global Advisory Program. Senior Advisors work directly with partner nations, regional, or international organizations to deliver strategic guidance and build institutional capacity across a range of critical areas including governance, logistics, security sector reform, operations, and policy development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic-level advisory support to organizational leadership in host nations or international bodies.

  • Deliver expert analysis and guidance in a specialized discipline as specified by the task order.

  • Support the development of institutional frameworks, policies, and operational procedures.

  • Engage with host nation counterparts and U.S. stakeholders to align objectives and ensure sustainable outcomes.

  • Help build independent capabilities within partner organizations to reduce reliance on external support.

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer, mentoring, and on-the-ground problem solving.

  • Provide briefings, written reports, and recommendations to key decision-makers.

Qualifications 

Required,

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.

  • Minimum six (6) years of relevant experience.

  • Achieved rank of O-5 in the military, GS-14 in the federal government, or equivalent in the private sector.

Desired,

  • 10+ years of experience

  • Experience working with senior government or military officials.

  • Foreign language proficiency.

  • Experience living and/or working overseas.

  • Subject matter expertise in sectors such as logistics, security, institutional reform, or civil-military operations.

  • TS/TCI Clearance 

  • Experience with DOS
