Location: Columbia, SC

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our growing team at Walker White Mechanical. This role is vital to the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of sheet metal systems. You’ll work on commercial and industrial projects, ensuring all installations meet safety standards, codes, and customer specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, install, and maintain sheet metal systems for commercial and industrial projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and job specifications to complete projects.
  • Use tools and machinery to cut, bend, and shape sheet metal.
  • Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure timely project completion.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on sheet metal systems as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, installation, and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with HVAC and other mechanical systems is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • OSHA certification preferred.
