Summary

As a Publications- Early Careers Technical Writer at Gainwell, you can contribute your skills as we harness the power of technology to help our clients improve the health and well-being of the members they serve — a community’s most vulnerable. You are responsible for assisting with publications necessary for the maintenance of communication with Florida Medicaid providers and other users of the Gainwell maintained Medicaid Web Portal.

Your role in our mission

  • Develops, writes, designs, and edits basic material for publications such as manuals, technical design documents, quick reference guides, web-based trainings, and other published materials.
  • Illustrates, proofreads, and edits materials to meet business needs. Reviews published materials and recommended revisions and/or changes in order to meet quality standards.
  • Produces content and design for Web Based Training Courses (WBT) and other provider training documentation.
  • Researches, writes, edits, and proofreads technical data for use in documents and rewrite in a clear and concise style, consistent with established standards, to provide users with information in a less technical way.
  • Create, post, and maintain content for the maintenance of communication with Florida Medicaid providers and other uses of the Gainwell-maintained Medicaid Web Portal.

What we're looking for

  • Background in English, communications, journalism, technical writing or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the publication of bulletins and technical handbook material. Experience in the health care public relations and health care publications preferred
  • Experience working with desktop publishing, word processing, and on-line documentation software
  • Experience working with industry writing style such as grammar, sentence form, and structure
  • Experience working with company software products, great proofreading and editing skills
  • Ability to convert technical knowledge into easily understood terms

What you should expect in this role

  • Hybrid position- reporting onsite at Tallahassee, FL location. Must be in driving distance.
  • Must be available to work from home and in office/on site as per business need.

The pay range for this position is $39,600.00 - $56,500.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
