We are looking for a Hotel Manager to join the re-opening of the famed Delano Miami Beach.

Set to open its doors in 2025, Delano Miami Beach will fuse historic charm with contemporary luxury, reflecting a reimagined experience that pays homage to the original visionary concept. Comprising 170 rooms and distinct food and beverage concepts, the hotel will preserve its iconic walk-in pool and, in addition, unveil a new pool on an amenity deck, offering breathtaking views of the ocean. Delano Miami Beach will act as the brand’s flagship location, re-establishing Delano as a trailblazer in luxury lifestyle hospitality.  Ennismore, in partnership with Cain International (the owners of Delano Miami Beach as well as partner in the Delano brand), are currently undertaking a significant renovation and redevelopment of the iconic Delano hotel with an aim to open its doors again ahead of the 2025 winter high season.

The Hotel Manager manages the hotel operations ensuring that guest satisfaction exceeds expectations through providing a dynamic atmosphere and experience while delivering profitable results to owners.  The Hotel Manager is the GM's partner, specifically driving F&B and Nightlife success. You'll be committed to running the hotel as a whole with a focus on PM/evening and weekend operations.  This role will require evening and weekend availability. 

Job Description

What you'll do... 

  • Daily management of the hotel -  ensure clear communication with and amongst departments to provide complete guest and team member satisfaction.
  • Plan, facilitate, and manage various hotel and departmental meetings.
  • Establish, monitor, and manage budgeted revenue and net operating income. Assures that the budgeting process is performed accurately and efficiently.
  • Establish and champion Delano specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) independently and with your heads of departments.  Ensure compliance of brand and company standards and policies.
  • Determine the direction, support, training and tools by being a consistent relationship builder to ensure the sense of empowerment necessary to provide win/win decisions for any internal/external customer challenges that may arise.
  • Interview, train, and manage talent as needed.
  • Attend necessary management lobby and hotel functions. Work closely with all departments to ensure successful and smooth operation.
  • Monitor daily availability and occupancy and communicate with Revenue to resolve any challenges
  • Monitor and review guest comments to identify areas for improvement and disperse with the team to assist in improving guest satisfaction, guest relations and guest loyalty scores - respond directly to guest as necessary.
  • Ensure the efficiency and service levels of departments through scheduling and monitoring staffing levels.
  • Ensure preparation of required reports, including (but not limited to) Wage Progress, payroll, revenue, team member schedules, quarterly actions plans.
  • Oversee divisional matters as they relate to federal, state and local employment and civil rights laws.

Qualifications

What we're looking for...

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in hotel or a related industry senior leadership role, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
  • Pre-opening experience strongly preferred
  • Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation with a proven track record of living the company's values
  • You can commit to a Wednesday - Sunday schedule and are available for PM/evening shifts.
  • You’re a strong team leader, a natural at managing and inspiring others in a way that gets the best out of them.
  • You combine analytical and methodical thinking with high attention to detail and a solution-focused approach.
  • You’re a great communicator – both verbally and written – and a great listener. Fluent in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
  • A proficient understanding of Computer systems such as: Opera, Hotsos, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook, point of sale systems.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail. You prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation.
  • You have a passion for hospitality, you inspire an enthusiastic guest-centered approach.
